Therapy for sex, intimacy, relationships, identity, and connection.
Evington Therapy and Consulting offers telehealth therapy for adults across North Carolina. My work is especially focused on sex therapy, relationship therapy, identity, communication, desire, shame, and the patterns that shape how we relate to ourselves and others.
You do not have to know exactly what kind of therapy you need before reaching out.
Many clients arrive with a mix of concerns: relationship stress, sexual disconnection, identity questions, anxiety, shame, grief, desire differences, or the feeling that something in their life no longer fits. We will work together to understand what is happening, clarify your goals, and decide what kind of support makes the most sense.
Sex Therapy
Sex therapy provides a space to talk openly about intimacy, desire, pleasure, communication, sexual identity, and sexual concerns without shame or judgment.
This may be a fit if you are navigating:
Desire differences
Sexual anxiety or shame
Changes in arousal, pleasure, or confidence
Difficulty talking about sex
Religious, cultural, or family messages about sexuality
Queer identity, coming out, or late-bloomer experiences
Sexual concerns after illness, stress, grief, or life transition
Wanting a more connected, embodied, and honest relationship with your sexuality
Sex therapy is not about performance or “fixing” you. It is about understanding the emotional, relational, psychological, physical, and cultural factors that shape your sexual wellbeing.
Individual Therapy
Individual therapy offers space to explore your story, your patterns, and your emotional life with curiosity and care.
This may be a fit if you are navigating:
Anxiety or chronic stress
Identity development
Religious or cultural conditioning
Grief, loss, or major life transitions
Shame, self-worth, or perfectionism
Family-of-origin patterns
Boundaries and people-pleasing
Relationship patterns
Emotional regulation
Feeling disconnected from your body, desire, or sense of self
Individual therapy can help you better understand what shaped you, what still serves you, and what you want to practice differently now.
Relationship Therapy
Relationship therapy supports partners who want to better understand their patterns, communicate more clearly, navigate conflict, and build a more secure connection.
This may be a fit if you and your partner are navigating:
Communication breakdowns
Conflict cycles that keep repeating
Desire differences or sexual disconnection
Trust, repair, or resentment
Life transitions
Caregiver strain or shifting roles
Emotional distance
Differences in needs, values, or expectations
Questions around identity, sexuality, or relationship structure
In relationship therapy, the relationship itself becomes the focus. We will work to understand the patterns between you, not simply assign blame to either person.

What to Expect
Therapy with me is collaborative, conversational, and grounded. I ask thoughtful questions, listen for patterns, and help you connect what is happening now with the stories, relationships, experiences, and protective strategies that shaped you.
At times, our work may feel reflective and insight-oriented. At other times, it may be practical and skills-based. We may explore communication, emotional regulation, embodiment, desire, boundaries, values, grief, or the relational patterns that keep showing up in your life.
