  • At this time, Evington Therapy and Consulting offers telehealth therapy only. I work with adults located anywhere in North Carolina through a secure video platform.

  • I work with adults across North Carolina. My practice focuses on sex therapy, relationship therapy, intimacy concerns, identity, communication, anxiety, shame, life transitions, and relational patterns.

    I work with individuals and partners. My practice is affirming of LGBTQ+ clients, queer relationships, diverse identities, and varied relationship structures.

  • Yes. I provide relationship therapy for partners who want to strengthen communication, navigate conflict, understand recurring patterns, and build more honest connection.

    Relationship therapy may also include concerns related to intimacy, desire differences, trust, life transitions, caregiving, sexuality, and shifting roles.

  • Yes. Sex therapy provides a space to talk about sexuality, intimacy, desire, pleasure, shame, communication, sexual identity, and sexual concerns with care and without judgment.

    Sex therapy is talk therapy. It does not involve sexual contact, nudity, or physical touch.

  • Clients may seek sex therapy for many reasons, including desire differences, sexual anxiety, shame, difficulty communicating about sex, changes in arousal or pleasure, religious or cultural messages about sexuality, queer identity development, coming out later in life, or changes in intimacy after illness, stress, grief, or major life transition.

  • Yes. I provide LGBTQ+ affirming therapy and work with clients navigating identity, sexuality, coming out, religious or cultural conditioning, shame, relationships, intimacy, and belonging.

    As a queer therapist who came out later in life, I care deeply about creating space for people who are becoming more honest with themselves and their relationships.

  • Yes. Many people carry messages from family, faith communities, culture, or early life experiences that shape their relationship with sexuality, identity, pleasure, and self-trust.

    Therapy can help you explore these messages with care, clarify what you believe now, and move toward a relationship with yourself that feels more honest and integrated.

  • $150 per individual session

    $170 per relationship session

    Payment is due at the time of service.

  • I am a private-pay practice and do not bill insurance directly.

    I can provide superbills for clients who wish to seek reimbursement through out-of-network benefits. Reimbursement is not guaranteed and depends on your specific insurance plan.

    Please note that insurance companies typically do not reimburse for relationship or couples therapy.

  • A superbill is a document that includes information your insurance company may request if you choose to seek out-of-network reimbursement. You can submit it directly to your insurance provider.

    I can provide superbills for eligible individual therapy services. Relationship therapy is typically not reimbursable by insurance.

  • Sessions are 55-60 minutes. Extended sessions may be available when clinically appropriate.

  • Most clients begin with weekly or bi-weekly sessions. As therapy progresses, we may adjust frequency based on your goals, needs, and availability.

  • A consultation is a brief opportunity to share what brings you to therapy, ask questions, and see whether working together feels like the right fit.

    It is also a chance for me to learn more about your goals and determine whether my practice is an appropriate fit for your needs.

    In other words, “a vibe check.”

  • At this time, I can only provide therapy to clients who are physically located in North Carolina at the time of session.

  • Yes. Therapy is confidential, with some legal and ethical limits. These limits include situations involving risk of harm to yourself or others, abuse or neglect of a child, elder, or disabled person, or when records are required by court order.

    I will review confidentiality and privacy with you before we begin therapy.

  • No. Evington Therapy and Consulting is not a crisis service.
